If you have deep scratches, discoloration, or outdated stains it's time to refinish your floor. If there isn't a lot of heavy stress on the floor and you maintain it, but there is dirt in the grain that you just can't get out it's time to deep clean. We recommend getting it professionally deep cleaned or recoated once a year or every another year.
